Dr. Jared Akers
Dr. Jared Akers recently completed the board certification process with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, scoring in the 97th percentile among all examinees for the 2024-2025 cohort.
Dr. Akers is a native of Brandon, Mississippi, and attended the University of Mississippi for his undergraduate education, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry in 2015. He then completed a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2016.
Dr. Akers received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree with Cum Laude designation from the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s School of Dentistry in 2020. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, serving as the sole Chief Resident in the 2023-2024 academic year.
Dr. Akers, his wife, and two children reside in his wife’s hometown of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Dr. Akers enjoys hunting, boating, Ole Miss athletics, the New Orleans Saints, and spending time with his family.
